And thou shalt remember all the way which the Lord thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no.

Humble – In an age where everything is about me, how do we practice humbleness? It’s definitely not something that we can just pick up from the variety of examples around us [sarcasm]. Afflict Your Souls

Also on the tenth day of this seventh month there shall be a day of atonement: it shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord.
