The Lord called thy name, A green olive tree, fair, and of goodly fruit: with the noise of a great tumult he hath kindled fire upon it, and the branches of it are broken.

Olive tree – Who is YHVH calling a green olive tree? We need to start there. In the next verse, we see He’s speaking about the house of Israel and the house of Judah — both houses, or all 12 tribes… all of Israel.
So keep that in mind while we back up a bit. This is about discovering who Israel is and whether or not we’re a part of it. One thing we know for sure is that we’ve been grafted in among as branches, right? Romans 11:17-27 is where we understand this concept. Paul writes plainly that some (not all) of the branches were broken off. He adds that we are from the wild olive tree being grafted onto the good olive tree. In a previous post you can read about this in more detail. But the important thing to note is that we’ve been grafted into the good olive tree. The olive tree as defined by YHVH himself, is all of Israel — the united 12 tribes. If you need a second witness, heed the words of Hosea.
5 I will be as the dew unto Israel: he shall grow as the lily, and cast forth his roots as Lebanon.
6 His branches shall spread, and his beauty shall be as the olive tree, and his smell as Lebanon.
Hosea 14:5-6
So to clarify, we (believers) are the newly grafted branches from the wild olive tree that have been grafted into the 12 tribes — into Israel.
But Paul speaks of another piece of the puzzle — the root. He writes in Romans 11:17 that we are partakers of the root and the fatness thereof. So what exactly is the root?
And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious.
Isaiah 11:10
Isaiah personifies the root as a person. Who exactly is the root?
I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.
Revelation 22:16
Yeshua is the root, the olive tree is Israel (all 12 tribes), and we are newly grafted branches into that tree. We are a part of Israel. Bloodlines don’t matter. Just as in the days when the Hebrews left Egypt, God sanctioned that all non-Hebrew people that believed in Him, kept His commandments, and were circumcised, were to be considered native-born Israelites (Exodus 12:48).
You have a rich history filled with miracles and mercies. Replacement theory is not what YHVH teaches. There is no replacement for Israel. It has always been about them. Just take a look at who the new covenant is specifically for…
For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:
Hebrews 8:8
If you consider yourself a part of the new covenant, than you must be a part of the house of Israel, or the house of Judah. These two houses combined are the 12 tribes of Israel.
